Taylor Swift
Dream of a white Christmas with Taylor Swift who is The Chosen One of CHANNEL [V] this December! After becoming the highest-selling artist of 2008 and 2009, Taylor Swift returns in 2010 with her third album, Speak Now, in which all the materials were written on her own without outside help.
Released in late October, Speak Now still sticks close to the country-pop hybrids that made Swift famous despite of a full orchestra used on several songs. Swift has worked on the album for the past two years, finishing fourteen tracks without any co-writers. In August, the first single Mine was released, unveiling her tendency to run from love. It has sold 1,109,000 copies and debuted at number 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The title track, Speak Now, was released on October 5 as a promotional single of the album. The song maintains the same steady tempo as Mine while it is about the country star crashing a wedding ceremony to win back her guy.
Prior to Speak Now, the American country pop singer-songwriter released her debut single Tim McGraw in 2006, followed by her self-titled debut album which was certified mutli-platiunum. In late 2008, her second album Fearless earned her four Grammy Awards including the Album of the Year. Both albums have respectively sold 2.1 and 1.5 million copies, making her the best-selling musician of 2008 in the United States.
